Golden

June 19th was my GOLDEN BIRTHDAY. I turned 19 on the 19th and let me tell you, it was awesome.  Masha and Annie helped my celebrate by boating the day away at East Canyon.  Oh and of course Louie helped too.

Notice the fantastic gold swimsuit Brecken and Annie got me as a present.  How cool is that?!

To me, this photo represents Mammy's and my friendship.  I enjoy it.

Wakesurfing in sunglasses and loving it.

Mammy.
Annie, touching her elbow.
Fannie, trying.
FINALLY! Louie sitting on Annie's lap.  Such joy she's never imagined.

Windswept Louie.

All in all, 19 was an amazing birthday and I couldn't have asked for a more golden day!

Postpartum Rec Soccer League

So my sister Elena is on a soccer team and needed some more players so Fannie and I decided to join the ranks of Wizard (Note not Wizards, see Juno) soccer team. The next youngest player was about 27 but our youth gave us no real advantage. We just finished the spring season and ended up taking second place overall which was not bad. Our last game was against the first place team in our league. It was a rough game especially since we had no subs or water! We did however have some pretty awesome fans.
The game got pretty physical. We were down 2-1 with minutes left and Fannie had the most amazing goal of the season. However due to referees that don't know the rules of soccer it was taken away and we lost the game. In our hearts it was a tie.
Proof of Steph's goal:
But just wait for next season- Number One here we come!

Spontaneity

Summer.  It's here and so far there isn't much that can be said about it.  This is mostly because it's been around 68 degrees everyday.  And it's June. C'mon.

So last Saturday Brecken, Annie, and I (minus Masha because she was in Bear Lake.  Definitely not the same without her!), well we decided to switch things up and go on an adventure.  It all started at Subway when we were eating lunch-  Annie volunteered an idea to go to the "art festival" that was supposedly going on that day.  Sounds like a good idea, Brecken and I said.  Turns out it was no art festival.

It was definitely the Gay Pride Festival.  Luckily we found that out before we went downtown or else we really would have been surprised.

So instead of going down to Gay Pride Day or whatever it was, we decided to go up to Park City and ride the Alpine Coaster.  Soooo much fun.

It was great to actually get out and do something fun!  It's been way too long.  Oh and did I mention that we got to go on it TWICE for the price of one ride? Yeah, that's right, twice.

Afterwards we went and got sushi on Main Street.  And then FUDGE.  Don't listen to Annie and Brecken- dessert wasn't all my idea.
All in all it was a great night and I enjoyed every minute of it.  Let's keep Summer '08 interesting and have more fun night like it!
