Where Has The Time Gone?

I can't believe it is already August 4th!!!! This summer has been wonderful I can't believe it is coming to an end almost today I realized that August 24th is rapidly approaching and I am not ready for it. I am not ready to be cooped up in a classroom and worrying about homework and tests instead of worrying about what fun summertime activity to do next or when the next trip is. I have decided to try to make the most of these last few weeks instead of just dread the inevitable.

Here is my list of the summer things I want to cram in before the summer ends:
  • Do at least 1 night hike -and more hiking in general
  • Go to Lagoon -Its almost worth it just for the people watching
  • Raging Waters or Seven Peaks - I don't know which one is better I haven't been to seven peaks since I was little
  • Snow cones - I have not had nearly enough this summer which is probably due to the fact that snoasis is gone and replaced by some gross african ice crap
  • Late night longboarding sessions - more longboarding in general
  • Mini golf- sadly dotties is closed but I will have to find somewhere else to go
  • Reading- The summer is the only time I really just read for fun. When I am in school I have plenty of reading to do for classes so reading is not high on my list of ways to relax.
  • Boating- Since I don't really own a boat this is more just taking any chance I can to go when possible.

I am sure there are other things I forgot that I will try and fit in before the summer is over. Hope everyone is getting the most of their last few weeks of summer!

It's what the Founding Fathers would have wanted

I wouldn't normally eat a hotdog, a hamburger, AND a bratwurst.... but it is the Fourth of July.

Happy Independence Day!

"Blind Date"

Jake came home from California for the weekend and surprised me on a "blind date" with Masha and Matt.  So good to see him after 4 months!
So, we are pretty legit golfers.  Check out our golfer poses:
Mammy doing her thang.
Matt's Leg Wobble
Fannie = Intense
Jake... THAT'S WHAT'S UP!
Matt and Masha got a little out of hand with the whole team golfing thing.

Back To Where It All Began

The Adventures of Mammy & Fannie continue with some skiing at Snowbird!!!

I am ready for summer!

As much as I love skiing and the 19 new inches of snow at the bird today I am ready for some warm weather! I am ready for you to get home fannie. I am ready to go hiking, boating, longboarding, and just be able to go do something outside at night without having to bundle up like an eskimo. Being in Arizona for eight days in the 90 degree weather just made me crave the warmth even more. Spring break was amazing it was such a much needed break from school, work, and being cold. The triple s b missed you fannie!

ps loved the tag post fannie haha I was so surprised to see something new on our blog!

Way To Go Man of The Month!

Our man of the month (I should probably say months) TJ Schiller won his first gold in slopestyle at the winter x games!!!!!! Coming in as an alternate and competing in only one other competition since recovering from tearing his ACL last season TJ had a sick first run and no one could beat it. A highly unlikely and awesome win! Way to go my future husband and Fannie's future lover on the side (if she is lucky).

In case it was not aired in jolly old England or you just missed it here is his sick run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEARcVE0fXY&feature=related

How I Wish You Were Here

The start of the semester has been a little shaky all starting with my best friend moving to another continent, followed by more friends going off to school, breaking my phone, and missing the first two days of school and laying in bed sick. However yesterday was a great day filled with some of our favorite things, I just wish you were there to enjoy them with me!

-Even though I don't usually like Lo mien we had Chinese for dinner and I was loving Asian Star's it made me think of you and your weird love of Chinese noodle dishes. ( I didn't take a picture it was gone too quickly)

- I actually finished my DG letters, indulging in our love of crafts involving modge podge!

-The night was topped off with a couple of mindless hours spent watching GG and Greek(thanks to Katelyn's christmas present best little sis ever). A night with Nate and Cappie (you weren't even there to rain on my parade by commenting on his excessive man jewels) what more could I ask for maybe if I could just combine Nate's good looks and Cappie's wit I would really have my perfect man.

-It wouldn't be our favorite things if I did not include a treat. Mind you this is not just a pint, but a quart! Since I have a sore throat I have decided that my medicine should be lots of ice cream so I figured why not buy the big one?

Wished you were here to enjoy it with me!!!!!!

Hey Everyone!

I'm currently lying in bed right now.  I can't fall asleep.   Somehow I have not grown out of the almost unbearable anticipation of Christmas Eve when you're a kid.  It's a mixture of wanting to fall asleep so badly because morning = presents, and valiantly keeping your eyes glued open and your ears perked in hopes of hearing Santa. My mom claimed every year she heard Santa on her roof we she was little.  Oh boy, that statement alone was cause for countless late night Christmas Eve's because I did not want to miss out on hearing Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, etc on my roof.  Well anyways, here I am, not able to fall asleep on Christmas Eve, so I thought I would spread some Christmas cheer and wish all of you (which in actuality is probably just Mash) a very merry Christmas.  And show you a picture of Christmas gnomes because everyone can use more gnomes in their life.

Merry Christmas!

Ways to Waste Your Time on the Internet

The other day Fannie was complaining to me that she was tired from staying up too late the night before. When I asked her what she was doing she told me she was on the Internet for a few hours. Having a mindless job where I have a lot of time to kill and computer access, I asked her to share some of her favorite time wasters with me. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the ones she sent me so I thought why not help others make it through their work day. Here they are enjoy!

- http://unkno.com/ This one is my favorite! I don't believe half of the things I read on this but they are pretty great. My personal favorite is "More people are killed each year by donkeys than in plane crashes" Who the hell are these idiots being killed by donkeys?

"Homework"

Nothing gets done at the library except for the slow chipping away of our sanity and the occasional social encounter of a fellow inhabitant of Greek Row pretending to study.

And yes, this is what we look like when we go into public.

A picture is worth a thousand words... Enough said.

Thanks All Around

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -Buddha

Happy Thanksgiving, from Mammy & Fannie.

Formally Over

Last night was DG Fall Formal and it was the last event I plan for my position in DG.  It was easily the most fun dance so far in college.  Everything went off without a hitch- great food (and we didn't run out!), great venue, great dj, and great dates!  All in all a great night!

Craftiness

We'll I've accepted it: Masha and I are never going to get around to blogging together. There, I said it. Masha, I think it's about time you accept it too. So I'm going to fly solo on this entry. Here it goes:

Mammy & Fannie have delved into a whole new world called Crafts. All of a sudden we are so crafty! It all started with friendship bracelets. We thought how hard could it really be, I mean eight year olds make them. And if they can make them, so can we! Turns out eight year olds are way more talented than we originally thought.

So friendship bracelets were a bit of a bust but we were not discouraged! Thread just isn't our medium, that's all. Turns out making magnets is so much easier. With the help of our friend Abby, also known as Kibbles 'n' Bits, we made the coolest magnets you've ever seen:

We used pictures of Christian Bale, Gob and Buster Bluthe, TJ Schiller, and Tom Brady among others. Hot Heads are the only magnets worth having.

Still on our craft buzz, Masha and I discovered our true calling in life: paint splattering.

I needed some artwork for my room so we went to Roberts, picked up some canvases and paint and tried this awesome experiment. If you ask me I think it was a total success. These were so much fun to make that Mammy and I actually had another helping of paint splattering and made some artwork for Masha's bedroom too.

Mammy & Fannie shall not stop on our artistic streak here though by any means. Just wait for our fabulous rendition of "A Minor Incident" by Badly Drawn boy.

So I always said I would update our blog a lot more when it was summer and I didn't have school. However, steph and I have been pretty pathetic at updating this blog. Our man of the month has turned into man of three months and has managed to get himself arrested for verbal abuse (What on earth do you say to someone to get arrested for verbal abuse?!), but its ok we still love him. Our song of the week has become the song of the month. It is very fitting that it is Tegan and Sara because we have been listening to them tons this summer. We will soon be updating all these hopefully, and adding more pictures!

p.s. this post is mostly to Fannie because I don't think anyone else reads this blog. Aren't you so proud of me I finally remembered all our log in crap!
